In a world where so many terrible things happen to so many people: loss, abuse, suicide, depression, mental illness, etc.; it can be difficult to carry on with your life each day. Darkness Receding is a collection of poems that faces these issues, as well as many more, head on and tells the story of how one woman, who has survived these things, that no one should ever have to face. These poems tell the story of how she overcame the darkness, and found the light at the end of the tunnel, through the help of her friends, family and God. These poems depict the pain and struggle these issues can bring, as well as the hope that can be found through love and recovery.
